SSL is a security protocol and it allows sensitive information such as credit card numbers, data on contact- and comment forms, and login credentials to be transmitted securely. It is easy to see if a site has SSL installed as it will show a green lock in the address bar. The Chrome browser even adds the word “Secure” when a site has SSL installed (and “Not Secure” when a security certificate has not been installed).
Since Google has almost made it mandatory to run websites over SSL, many website owners are scrambling to update their sites. We are happy to help you making the switch to SSL!
